Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dwaraka Organic Urad Split
  •  ½ cup Dwaraka Organic Chana Dal
  •  ¼ tbsp Dwaraka Organic Turmeric Powder
  •  1 tbsp Dwaraka Organic Ginger Garlic Paste
  •  1 tbsp Dwaraka Organic Chilli Powder
  •  2 Dwaraka Organic Red Chilli Whole Stemless
  •  2 Dwaraka Organic Cloves
  •  1 Dwaraka Organic Cinnamon Stick
  •  2 tsp Lime Juice
  •  1 ½ tsp Ghee
  •  ½ cup Fine-sliced Onions
  •  1 tsp Chopped Green Chilli
  •  Salt as per taste
  •  2 tbsp Chopped Coriander to garnish

Method

  1. Take a pressure cooker and add the Urad Split, Chana Dal, Turmeric Powder, Salt, and 3 Cups of water.
  2. Mix them well and let pressure cook for approximately 4 whistles.
  3. Let the steam get off before you open the lid, and keep it aside.
  4. Now, take a deep non-stick pan and heat some ghee.
  5. Add the Cinnamon Sticks, Red Chilli Whole, Onions, and Cloves, and saute them for a few minutes.
  6. Now, add the Ginger Garlic Paste, Chilli Powder, and Green Chillies and saute for a minute on medium flame.
  7. Once done, add the pre-cooked Dal, Lime Juice, Salt, and 2 cups of water, and mix well.
  8. Let it cook on a medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes while stirring occasionally.
  9. Finally, garnish with some chopped Coriander and serve it hot!
