  • Use a pressure cooker to cook the Kamal Kakdi (Lotus Stems) until they become tender. 
  • Once done, drain the water and dry them.
  • Now, take a frying pan to heat some oil on a low to medium flame. 
  • Next up, add the sliced ginger and stir fry for about 2 minutes, and keep aside. 
  • Now, in the same pan, add the cumin seeds and wait till they crack.
  • Then, add the kamal kakdi and stir.
  • Next, add the salt and black pepper.
  • Stir fry for almost a minute, and then add the chopped green chiles and lemon juice. 
  • Keep stir-frying for a couple of minutes and turn off the heat.
  • Now that your Kamal Kakdi Chaat is ready to be served, drizzle yogurt and some tamarind chutney. 
  • Finally, finish it with some green chilies and roasted ginger slices for added taste.
