Method

 For Onion-Tomato Paste :

1.Chop the onion and tomatoes roughly. Peel the garlic and chop the ginger.
2.In a pan, heat the oil, add the chopped onion, tomatoes, ginger, and garlic.
3.Once the onion is slightly translucent and the tomatoes are cooked, take it off the flame and let it cool.
4.Once the mixture has cooled down, grind it into a paste and set it aside.
For Mattar Paneer:
5.In a bigger pan, heat 2 tbsp oil and add all the whole spices.
6.Once the spices start spluttering, add the turmeric and chili powder. Then add the chana besan and roast it well.
7.After the besan turns golden brown, add the onion-tomato paste and mix well. Sauté this mixture for 2-3 minutes.
8.Then, add the cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt as per taste.
9.Add the peas and one cup of water to the mixture. Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 8-10 minutes until the peas become soft.
10.Now add the cubed Paneer and let it simmer on a low flame for 10 minutes.
11.Lastly, add the garam masala, dried fenugreek leaves, and coriander.
12.Your delicious Mattar Paneer is ready to be served and relished!
